FRAGRANCEs
by scent notes
A way through the Fitjar Islands fragrance landscape mapped by scent notes – from airy and green to grounded and warm.

NORDIC GREENS
Scents shaped by Nordic terrain, filtered by wind and shadow. Grenn, herbal, coniferous, damp, wind carried. They hold the brisk feeling of high altitude: bracing air, crisp light and pure nature. From forest edge to glacier clarity.
Some rise sharp, cool and immediate, marked by menthol, eucalyptus, and pine. Others stay closer to ground — damp fern, resinous bark, and crushed leaves underfoot. They move from the hush of a shaded path to the cooling clarity of the exposed heights.

EARTHBOUND FLORALS
Floral compositions stripped of sentimentality — serene, balanced, and grounded in the terrain. These blends use floral notes not to adorn, but to reflect nature in its unfiltered state. Neither feminine nor masculine — just honest. They unfold like landscapes, where blossoms are waypoints, not embellishments.

CITRUS PORTRAYS
Citrus scents seen through a Nordic lens — cool-toned and refracted by distance. Bright, exposed, quick to rise; full of volatile energy, yet always within a pared-back Nordic tone. These blends open swiftly, bright but composed. They move with clarity and restraint. Softened and stripped of excess, never in their native brightness.
Some are sharp and green; others carry a soft floral warmth. Their freshness is filtered, but story-rich and full of character. Shaped by place: sea, stone, distant shores, remote islands.

KINDRED WOODS
A collection of wooden expressions — each one distinct, yet part of the same lineage. These are scents shaped by memory and material: cabins in the forest, smoke rising from a hearth, old boats drying along the shore. Some of them are pale and dry, like sun-bleached timber. Others are warm, darkened by fire, smoke, and tar. One might recall the hush of a birch grove; another, the clarity of forest air. Some scents travel far, like Miklagard. Others stay close — like a fire that’s just gone out.
It is a dendrological archive in scent. Not a single note, but a range — from raw bark to resin-soft heartwood, from the scent of something just lit to what remains once it’s gone.
